Entry criteria for Australian applicants

Australian Tertiary Education Ranking (ITI/UAI/TER)

All Australian students wanting to be admitted to The University of Auckland must have completed Year 12 (Higher School Certificate or equivalent) and should have gained an acceptable Interstate Transfer Index (ITI) score. The ITI has a different name depending on the state in which you gained your Year 12 qualification:

  • Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) (WA, SA, NT and TAS)
  • ENTER (VIC)
  • UAI (ACT and NSW)
  • OP (QLD)

All applicants will be ranked and selected into programmes. Additional entry requirements such as a portfolio, audition and/or an interview may also be required for some programmes. Once admitted to the programme, you will be able to enrol in courses within your programme.

To find out more about ITI/OP scores and/or additional requirements, contact the University directly:
