CAD helps you to improve your academic skills in the areas of research, professional development and IT literacy.
CCE delivers courses, workshops and conferences to approximately 10,000 adult learners each year.
DELNA is a free check of your academic English language skills. All first-year students must do the DELNA screening.
At ELE, you can use English language resources (DVDs, CDs, digital recordings, magazines, newspapers and books), get advice about your English, participate in language learning groups, and use the computer lab.
If you are learning English as a new language, or would like help to improve your understanding of written and spoken English, there are various support services available.
Staff at faculty student centres can help you plan your programme and clarify the requirements of your degree.
The Information Common facilities provide services such as multi-purpose computers, group study areas, and the Short Loan Library.
Library courses give you confidence using the University’s information systems. We strongly recommend them for new students.
The Student Information Centre in the ClockTower can help you with basic course advice, your ID card, enrolment, and administrative forms.
Student Learning provides workshops and resources to help you develop your general academic skills.
