Dealing with Emotions Group
Learn skills to manage your emotions, live mindfully in the present moment, and build on positive experiences.
Dates
Start date for Semester One is 26 March 2012
Two hours on Mondays from 10am to 12pm for nine weeks.
Maximum of 8 participants. This is an open group, so if there is space, new participants can join once group has begun.
Topics
- Mindfulness practice
- Crisis survival skills and Distress Tolerance skills
- Working with guilt, shame and anger
- Ways of regulating and riding the waves of emotions
- Learning ways to build positive life experiences

Note
This is a pilot group programme. Every second week will focus on mindfulness practice as this is the key skill for the other skills to be utilised.
