The Mental Health Crisis Service
Phone: 0800 800 717
This is a free public health service. The Crisis Teams are part of the Community Mental Health Service and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This number will connect you with an answer service. You will be asked where you live and you will then be called by the appropriate Crisis Team for your area.
The Crisis Teams are especially trained to respond to people at risk. If you feel unsafe, the team will make an assessment and offer appropriate support. If you are concerned about the safety of someone else, you can ask their advice. If the person causing concern is unwilling to accept help, the Crisis Team may suggest you dial 111.
