How Career Development and Employment Services can help you

Career Development and Employment Services are open to all current students and graduates up to three years after graduation.

Careers drop-in and appointments

There are two ways you can get individualised help from our Career Development Consultants:

  • Drop-in service (no appointment necessary).
  • Make an appointment.

Drop-in

In a drop-in session, you can talk to a qualified Career Development Consultant who will be able to answer questions on a variety of career topics and advise you briefly on your career research strategies, CV, cover letter, job searching, networking and interview techniques.

Appointments

You can make the following types of appointments (through Auckland CareerHub) with a Career Development Consultant:

Career options discussion
No career ideas? Some or vague career ideas? Want to discuss your job hunting strategy? A chat with one of our consultants can help.

Practice interview
A chance to practice answering the sorts of interview questions asked by graduate employers.

Career Voyage
Career Voyage is a computer program that helps you identify types of work which matches your interests and preferences. The initial appointment to complete the assessment takes about 1 hour, and you will need a follow up 1-hour appointment.
