Library website
You can access all of the University Library's print and electronic resources and services on the Library website.
The Library website provides information and access to Library and Information Commons services and resources, including:
- Library Search.
- Databases, e-journals, e-books, course readings and exams.
- Location information and opening hours for any of the Libraries and Information Commons.
- My Library Account.
- Online forms to request help with information queries.
There is no charge for using any of the Library resources but you need to have your NetID and password in order to log in or to access the Library website resources.
In Library Search you can:
- Search for books, serials (journals, periodicals, magazines or newspapers) and many other items held in the University of Auckland Library.
- Search for course readings and past exam papers.
- Search for articles by title, author or subject.
- Search for digital television programmes from the TV Vault.
- Recall items that are on loan or request items located at another campus.
- Save, print and email your search results.
My Library Account allows you to:
- Check the due dates for your loans.
- Renew items.
- Find out if requested items are awaiting pick-up.
- View any fines or fees.
Your NetID and password are needed to access My Library Account and to request or recall items in Library Search.
If you have access to the Internet from outside the University of Auckland Campus, you can access most of the Library’s electronic resources with your NetID and password.
