Careers workshops


Develop your career planning, networking and job application skills at one of our workshops. All workshops are 1 hour long, unless specified otherwise.

There are a range of workshops in both your faculties and The ClockTower that can support you in developing your employability skills and assist you to secure employment. We recommend you attend more than one workshop.

We have grouped workshops below so you can best identify a suite of workshops to best suit your needs:

Finding the job - workshops to help you:

  • Marketing yourself, creating your CV

    Before the workshop:
    • Research CV content online.

    • Develop and electronic draft.

    • Attend a workshop - bring your laptop, or if you don't have one, we have a limited number of Ipads you can use to refine and develop it.

    • Get it checked again at a CV drop-in session, 10-11am daily in Room 108, The ClockTower.

  • Mastering job interviews

    Before the workshop:
    • Read about interviews.

    • Try out your interview technique using InterviewStream.

    • You can get feedback about how you did in the 108 ClockTower daily drop-in 10am-12pm.

Workshop guidelines
  • Our workshops are usually 1 hour long and we expect you to attend the whole workshop. Out of respect to other students, we don't allow students to enter the workshop after quarter past the hour.
