Pacific staff
The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s leading university for the numbers of Pacific students, graduates, staff and research publications. This relationship is based on equity, on the Charter, and on the geographical, historical and political ties between New Zealand and Pacific nations.
The University’s Fale Pasifika is a traditional Pacific Island meeting house offering facilities for Pacific research, teaching and student services, while the Pacific Reference Group provides the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Equity) with advice on issues relating to Pacific staff.
