Welcome to Te Whare Wānanga o Tāmaki-makau-rau, The University of Auckland, New Zealand's leading University.
The University of Auckland is situated in New Zealand's largest city, with the biggest population of Pacific people in the world. Our Centre for Pacific Studies teaches Pacific Studies, Samoan, Cook Islands Māori and Tongan, and provides support for students and researchers of all things Pasifika.
Pacific role models are easy to find at The University of Auckland, because there are almost 2,000 Pacific students, over 50 Pacific staff and many notable Pacific graduates.
MAPAS is a supportive environment and structure where students, their whānau and staff accept a commitment to academic achievement within a Māori or Pacific context.
MAPAS is available to Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences applicants with indigenous Māori or Pacific whakapapa/ancestry and provides both admission into and support while studying at the faculty.
