Meet our students
Tyrone Hack is studying towards a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws conjoint degree, specialising in Māori Studies.
“For me, the best thing about The University of Auckland is the support from the Māori student organisations at the University. In Ngā Tauira Māori and Te Rakau Ture I have been able to feel at home in an environment that might otherwise seem quite foreign. Watch Tyrone's video here
Tamoko Ormsby is studying towards a Bachelor of Engineering.
“I’m from Ngaruawahia, home of the best mussel fritters. I’m now living in The University of Auckland’s Halls of Residence, at University Hall. My experiences so far have been cool. We’ve got a bit of a whānau going on.

Alana Vaai is studying towards a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
" I am part of The University of Auckland Samoan Students’ Association, and I joined because I wanted to meet other Samoan students, as well as participate in cultural activities so that I don’t lose my culture. “
