The Equity Office -Te Ara Tautika leads The University of Auckland's commitment to be a fair and inclusive place to study and work.

We want our University to be a place where all those with the potential to succeed in a university of high international standing can do so - as students and as academic and professional staff.

In doing so, we support the contribution The University of Auckland makes to enhancing New Zealand's future.

Our Equity Cycle, which you'll find on our website, shows how we achieve equity outcomes for our valued, diverse staff and students and for people throughout New Zealand.

Our many staff and student equity initiatives include strategy, policy, projects, information, networks and advice.

Our work is varied, from the unique Tuākana learning community for Māori and Pacific students, to services for students with visible and invisible disabilities, to support for those combining parenting and a career. And, of course, being actively involved in recruiting and retaining talented and diverse staff and students.

We are proud of the difference we are making and we remain aspirational for the future.
