The University of Auckland aims to provide a world-class study and work environment where every student and staff member has the opportunity they need to make their time here as rewarding and productive as possible.

To help create this environment, the Equity Office team offer a range of services across three key areas – Staff Equity, Student Equity and Disability Services.

We offer services to help both students and staff members achieve their potential with a welcoming, accessible and inclusive environment. For example, we work with students from groups that are under-represented and disadvantaged in terms of gaining access to a university education, including women students in Science and Engineering, Māori and Pacific students.

The University places great importance on equity at policy and programme development levels where we can offer specialist advice. We also benchmark the University’s successes in achieving its equity goals and contribute to education and awareness programmes to achieve equity objectives.
