‘He ran, he walked, he ran, he walked’ explores alternative ways to measure time and examines how we interact within urban environments and architectural spaces. Everyday tasks become measurements of time as well as a medium to navigate space and place. Extracted from Knife and Fork, a short story written by Robyn Pickens, the exhibition title suggests rhythmic patterns of physical activity through space. From a line in a fictional story to an exhibition in actual space, the imaginary and the real interweave and unseen distance is elided.
