Agitate is an analogue photography exhibition functioning as a platform to celebrate, rejuvenate and reconsider analogue photography and its processes. The analogue has begun to transform from a process used to record and document, to one that pushes its own traditional boundaries. Our generation of analogue photographers looks to the historical influence of the analogue to develop works that are contemporary, though value tradition. Featured work will explore processes of the analogue; its physicality; darkroom processes; and photographic materiality, concerned with keeping analogue techniques alive in contemporary photography and showing that it is still a useful process for expressing artistic ideas.
