Standing on a high moor, the rain engulfs you; the music seems to ring in your ears. Water drips off your face, down the back of your neck. The lights buzz, almost imperceptibly, a faint noise sounds somewhere high to your right. A bead of sweat rolls down over the forehead, caught by the eyebrow. It sits there, heavy and unmoving. No figure appears over the horizon. What has the wait been for?
Rain Scene seeks to both create and subvert the conventions of such theatrical climax. By using elements of set design and soundtrack, artists will turn the gallery into a place where tension is always building, ever so slowly, stretched out into a perpetual waiting
