LUIS FEDUCHI / ARQTO, Brisbane
Luis Feduchi is a practising architect. As a result of his appointment as Professor of Architectural Design at The University of Queensland in late 2010, he has recently moved to Brisbane. His office, founded in Madrid in 1993 and relocated to Berlin in 2006, has won various awards and competitions. This includes the design of the Carmen del Negro Historic Archives of Granada currently under construction in the Albaicín, the urban quarter, listed World Heritage by the UNESCO in 1993, which adjoins the Alhambra Palace and the Generalife Gardens in Granada, Spain.
From 2006 to 2010 Luis was based in Berlin. He was Interim Chair of Urban Design at the TU Berlin where he initiated an advanced research platform on issues related to the city of Berlin, Urban India and the North-American territory. He eventually carried on to further appointments in other universities such as the University of Pennsylvania as Visiting Professor during the autumn of 2010. Prior to this, from 2004 to 2006, Luis was Head Professor of the Landscape Seminar and Coordinator of the Master of Architecture of the Territory at the Accademia di architettura di Mendrisio, Switzerland.
