(Other University events)

1 July 2012 to 31 August 2012

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” – Hippocrates.

Are you a good science communicator? Select a food ingredient or natural product and tell us how it keeps you healthy in a 3 minute video. You could win $5000.

Comvita Science Video Challenge is open to all New Zealand Tertiary Students. Students are encouraged to use their creativity to make a short movie explaining the benefits of healthy food in an appealing way to consumers. After all, you could be the world’s best scientist but none of it matters unless your audience understands what you are on about.

In the previous years, some rapped their science, some made it into an animation and some acted it out. It is a fun project with a lot of learning.
There are cash prizes for the winning teams. $5000 Grand prize and $2000 Runner-up prize. There are also many Comvita product prizes to be won.
Entrants also receive complementary tickets to Comvita’s annual Science Symposium held on the 6th September.

Entries open now and submissions close on the 31st of August. For more information and to register go to www.comvitasciencechallenge.co.nz
