Inappropriate incentives and excessive remuneration have been characteristics of the global financial crisis. In light of the various court cases related to failed finance companies, New Zealand has not been immune from these problems.
To combat these issues, many suggestions have been put forward for fairer systems and particularly systems where the method of payment encourages executives to work for the interests of their stakeholders.
The New Zealand Governance Centre is bringing several international experts to the Executive Remuneration Conference to give their perspectives on these issues and provide innovative and thought-provoking discussions.
