About the Research Office

The Research Office helps the University to meet its research goals; supporting research quality and intensity in the University through management, administration and strategic development of the University’s research.

The Research Office has three main functions:

  • provide a central point for research management and administration for public good research funds, internal research funds and charitable research funds, where the intellectual property and results are owned by the University
  • foster an environment across the University that encourages and supports the excellence in research that is reflected in our international reputation and our Performance Based Research Fund (PBRF) results
  • facilitate the development and implementation of the University’s strategy to grow the quality and intensity of our research.
