Building a city (even an imagined one) is a collective effort which is in a continuous state of flux. Materials and ideas are brought together, exchanged and built upon as narratives are played out and repeated in continuous loops by successive generations. The gallery space acts as a microcosm, encouraging discourse upon a current and specific social environment. Invisible Cities is a site-specific installation which responds directly to the physical gallery space in the way that a city grows and engages with its natural environment.
