Auckland UniServices Limited is the commercial research and knowledge transfer company for The University of Auckland.
UniServices manages all of the University’s commercial research and consultancy contracts in New Zealand and internationally. We manage research partnerships, develop new knowledge and technology, protect and commercialise intellectual property and create new businesses.
We work in fields as diverse as clean energy, educational leadership, food and nutrition, medical research and electronics across 27 countries with some of the most well known names in the world – Siemens, Daifuku, Samsung, Toyota, Roche and the United States Cancer Institute.
Our mission is to create mutual social and economic benefits for The University of Auckland and our global partners by forging new opportunities based on advanced University research, technology and educational capabilities.
UniServices is the largest university research and technology company in Australasia. It has revenues of $100 million and 15 percent growth year on year. The company has more than 600 research and support staff on its payroll. It works on 2,500 projects at any one time around the globe.
All surpluses generated by UniServices are paid to The University of Auckland and are applied to expanding and enhancing its capabilities in commercial and basic research.
