  • The Small Business Company:
    Private provider of business advice, but has a useful "free resources" section on its home page.
  • Business Advice for Māori:
    If you are Māori and interested in starting up a business, or wanting to improve an existing business, the Māori Business Facilitation Service from Te Puni Kokiri may be able to help you (they provide mentoring, advice, facilitation, guidance and information).
  • Poutama Trust:
    Supports and invests in Māori business (includes links to other business-related resources and an e-newsletter).
  • Māori Tourism Businesses:
    Information form the Ministry of Tourism to help Māori tourism business operators (including advice on start-up).

    Based in Wellington, concentrating on creative start-up ventures including animation, mobile technologies, software development, design, publishing and graphics.
  • Powerhouse (Cii):
    Based in Christchurch, helping the development of emerging high technology companies in the region.
  • The Centre for Innovation:
    Based in Dunedin, this biotechnology incubation facility assists inventors and innovative companies.
  • e-Centre Massey:
    Based in Auckland, set up to nurture and grow entrepreneurial technology companies.
  • Elevate/ NRG Trust:
    Enterprise facilitator for young New Zealand entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 30.
