The fund for these Scholarships was established by those who graduated in law while Professor A. G. Davis was Dean of the Law School.

The A G Davis Scholarship contributes to the support of a full-time Law student at The University of Auckland who has shown academic excellence.


Selection process:
  • The scholarships shall be tenable by a student who has shown academic excellence.

How do students apply?
Application for Scholarships shall be made to The Scholarships Office on or before 31 October in the year preceding the year in which it shall be tenable. Application form and guidelines can be downloaded from the website details provided.

Decision makers
The awards shall be made by Council on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Law.


How and when do students learn of the decision?
Scholars shall be paid in a lump sum upon award.



Additional Information
  • The Scholarship may be held with any other fellowship, scholarship or bursary.
  • If there is no award of a Scholarship in any year an additional Scholarship may be awarded in a subsequent year.
