What is Eduroam?

Eduroam stands for "education roaming". It allows every staff member and student to log on to the Eduroam wireless network at another institution.

Eduroam allows on-demand wireless network access with mobility, security and ease of use. If your University or Institution is keen to join the Eduroam federation, information is available on the Eduroam wiki.

How does Eduroam work?

Eduroam allows University of Auckland staff and students to access the wireless network with their usual user name and password while visiting participating campuses around New Zealand and the world. This allows you to access resources at your home institution.
