Partnership between the University and MIT
Cooperation between The University of Auckland and Manukau Institute of Technology enhances the availability of University qualifications at undergraduate and postgraduate levels to motivated and committed students.
The University of Auckland and Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) have worked together since the early 1990s, when the Faculty of Arts at the University offered Bachelor of Arts courses on the MIT Campus.
In 1999, the University and MIT signed a Deed of Cooperation with the aim of making it easier for students in the Manukau region to access study at University level. The Deed was renewed in 2008.
The University offers degrees in Education on the MIT Campus. Academic pathways in Business, Teacher Education, Engineering and Nursing enable MIT students to embark on a range of qualifications offered by the University. Students, depending on their chosen programme, can apply to the University with an awarded MIT qualification or may be admitted with a partially completed degree and transfer credits gained at MIT towards the requirements for qualifications at the University.
In this section of the website, you will find out what qualifications are available to you, how to be admitted into a programme at the University, what credit you can apply for and other key information.
