Maclaurin Chapel

The Maclaurin Chapel complex is on the corner of Princes Street and Waterloo Quadrant. You can use the hall for prayer, study and relaxation, and have access to the books within the theological library. The hall can also be hired for meetings or baptisms, weddings, funerals, weekly services or annual services.

  • A weekly prayer service is held on Thursdays from 12.10-12.30pm during semester time.
  • On Grafton Campus the Maclaurin Chaplain holds a weekly clinic on Fridays at 9.30am-12.30pm during semester time.

Fr Sam Pulanco

Catholic chaplain

The Catholic chaplain is Fr Sam Pulanco. He is stationed at Newman Hall, 16 Waterloo Quadrant.

The Auckland Catholic Tertiary Chaplaincy is the pastoral and spiritual hands of the Bishop of Auckland to reach out to all tertiary students (national and international) for their pastoral and spiritual needs.

Muslim Prayer Space

The Muslim Prayer Space is available for private and individual use by male and female worshippers.

Access is via the external staircase in the courtyard opposite the Chemistry building.

Please ensure that you are enrolled into papers before requesting access to the Muslim Prayer Space.

Access cards
If you have a department card, your department can activate your Prayer Space access for you. If you do not have a department card, you can get one from the Student Information Centre.

Prayer rooms are available at the Tāmaki Innovation Campus and are for anyone from any religious denomination.
