Things to do in your free time
International students are encouraged to make the most out of their free time, so that they meet like-minded people and get to know the fun side of University life. There are all sorts of clubs and societies active on campus, as well as an ongoing programme of exhibitions, social events and live performances.
A fit mind deserves a fit body. Keep yourself in shape by joining a University sports team or club.
For more information about recreation on campus, see Sports and exercise.
If you have a special interest, there’s probably a club to match it. For further details, take a look at Clubs and societies.
There are lots of opportunities to enjoy music, theatre and dance on campus. For further details on these events, see Arts and culture on campus.
Travel talks, trips and activities around Auckland and other areas of the North Island are frequently organised by Auckland International. You can find out about these at iSPACE, a dedicated room for international student functions, activities, workshops, help and information.
