Master of Engineering Studies (MEngSt)
The Master of Engineering Studies at the University gives MIT students the opportunity to enter postgraduate study. It is a taught Masters degree which offers an advanced technical foundation and an industrial perspective, particularly in areas of specialisation. Courses can be taken in Computer Systems and other specialisations.
You may apply for admission to the University’s Master of Engineering Studies if you have completed one of the following (average grade of B+ or higher is required):
- MIT Bachelor of Engineering
- MIT Bachelor of Engineering (Hons)
The MEngSt is a taught masters degree comprising 120 points including up to 45 points of project work. Students must pass courses with a total value of 120 points from either the General Option or one of the specialisations listed in the degree schedule. The degree must be completed in one year (fulltime study) or in four years (part-time study). Enrolment must be continuous for the outlined period of time for the programme. The degree may be awarded with honours.
