Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences (PGCertHSc)

This certificate provides students with a postgraduate qualification in an area of interest or where they have a professional involvement. It is taught in a flexible mode with block courses at Middlemore Hospital.

It is a beginning postgraduate qualification and is especially suitable for students who have been out of study for some time or who want to see what postgraduate study is about. The PGCertHSc specialisations available to MIT nursing graduates:

  • Advanced Nursing
  • Mental Health Nursing
Who can apply?

The PGCertHSc is open to MIT students who:

  • have completed the MIT Bachelor of Nursing or an equivalent approved professional qualification
    MIT Bachelor of Nursing
  • have at least two years of relevant work practice.

Credit

If you complete the PGCertHSc, you may credit the points to the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences
