Spark Entrepreneurship Challenge
Spark is a student-led organisation that seeks to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs among our students and staff.
The competitions encourage students and staff to test their business start-up ideas against other aspiring entrepreneurs and learn the practical side of business from some of New Zealand's top entrepreneurs and business people.
The two major competitions are the Ideas Challenge and the $100k Challenge. Both competitions give entrants the chance to turn ideas into businesses. The competitions provide a share of over $120,000 worth of prizes, including cash prizes, seed capital, workshops, clinics and mentoring.
Spark's other competitions are more focused on providing world-class educational opportunities, with its Vision 2 Business and Ideas 2 Business giving entrants the skills needed to start New Zealand's next big thing.
All competitions are free to enter and all are welcome to attend the events.
Spark is a volunteer-based student-led organisation.
Spark's alumni companies have raised over $50 million in funding and sell to over 20 countries.
Spark is run by students in partnership with The University of Auckland Business School and business growth centre, The ICEHOUSE.
