Undergraduate Plan

All undergraduate students are automatically put on this plan.

  • You get unlimited high-speed access to all University websites (CECIL, EC Mail, Student Services Online, etc) and electronic resources provided by the Library.
  • You also get high-speed access to all non-University websites, with a 200MB monthly data allowance.
  • It’s all done automatically. There's no need to sign up, pay up, or set up!
  • You can purchase additional data if the monthly data allowance is exceeded (100MB for $2).
Postgraduate Plan

All postgraduate students are automatically put on this plan.

  • You get unlimited high-speed access to all University websites (CECIL, EC Mail, Student Services Online, etc) and electronic resources provided by the Library.
  • You also get high-speed access to all non-University websites, with a 400MB monthly data allowance.
  • It’s all done automatically. There's no need to sign up, pay up, or set up!
  • You can purchase additional data if the monthly data allowance is exceeded (100MB for $2).

Doctoral students are automatically placed on the Staff Plan.

Internet usage subtracted from data allowance

Internet traffic usage (ie, the amount of data downloaded) will be subtracted from your monthly internet allowance of 200MB or 400MB, depending on what type of student you are.

The following types of internet usage will not be subtracted from your monthly internet allowance:

  • Library databases
  • E–journals
  • E–books
  • Library Catalogue
  • University of Auckland websites such as CECIL, Student Services Online, or EC Mail
