Fascia imaging research study

Be part of a study that investigates the role of fascia and its contribution to the human musculoskeletal system.

What's involved?

We are conducting the first-ever MRI imaging study on the fascia in the legs of healthy adults. We're interested in determining fascial thickness and the way that muscle fibers insert into fascia. This information can eventually be used to assess patients with musculoskeletal abnormalities and suggest treatments that involve the fascia.

Eligibility criteria

We are seeking:
  • Healthy 18-50 year old adults
  • Available for 1 hour of imaging at CAMRI at FMHS in Auckland OR Mātai Research Institute in Gisborne

What will I receive?

  • Participants will receive a $30 voucher as koha
  • MRI Images of your leg muscles & fascia
