Our Combining Parenting and a Career (CPC) seminars are held every year and are a chance for staff to hear from leading researchers about topics that are relevant to those combining parenting and a career.

Associate Professor Clare Wall will present an overview of the prevalence of food allergies and intolerances and discuss their signs and symptoms. She will explore the reasons for the increasing prevalence of food allergies in New Zealand and discuss the current dietary management strategies for various food allergies and intolerances.

Associate Professor Clare Wall is Head of the Discipline of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Auckland. After qualifying as a dietician in the UK in 1984, she specialised in paediatric dietetics, working in the UK and Australia. She has had many years of practical experience assisting parents, children and adolescents with nutrition advice and support. Clare's main research focus is the interrelationship between the determinants of nutritional status and health outcomes in the paediatric population.

The Equity Office - Te Ara Tautika, HR and the TEU work collaboratively to ensure CPC seminars meet the interests of those combining parenting and a career.
