Established in 1997 the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) is a consortium of 45 leading research universities in the Pacific Rim.

APRU aims to promote scientific, education and cultural dialogue and collaboration among Pacific Rim economies. In its objectives and guiding principles, APRU embodies a commitment to global academic and research standards, and providing the opportunity to member universities to become effective players in the global knowledge economy.

Academic and Professional staff members may apply to International Central Networks and Partnerships Grant (ICNPG) for mobility support to undertake activities with APRU partners.
