Purpose: The Centre for Addiction Research is committed to providing independent and quality research into the emerging relationship between addictive consumptions and the well-being of individuals, communities and society. The Centre will promote, coordinate and support the wider network of addiction research throughout the Faculty, and will promote interdisciplinary research in all five addiction subsectors (tobacco; alcohol; other drugs; gambling; and addictions and mental health).

Centre for Advanced Composite Materials

Purpose: The Centre for Advanced Composite Materials (CACM) is based at The University of Auckland’s Tāmaki Innovation Campus. CACM brings together expertise from engineering, science and medical faculties to undertake fundamental, applied and industrially focused research on synthetic and bio-based composite materials, manufacturing processes, and design, analysis and experimental characterisation. The centre has more than 70 staff and postgraduate students, and a comprehensive range of testing and analysis capabilities. CACM collaborates with other New Zealand and international researchers, and works directly with many New Zealand companies.

Centre for Brain Research
