Emergency Alert Service Update

The University is implementing a centrally accessible Emergency Alert Service (EAS). This will enhance co-ordinated and consistent communication that is disseminated rapidly across the University in the event of an emergency or crisis.

Updating your details

In the event of a crisis, an emergency alert message will be sent to recipients based on their EPR is Enterprise Person registry contact information.

We encourage all staff to check and update your contact details. This can be done by clicking on the updating your personal contact details link.

Emergency Alert Service – Test

On Thursday 22nd October, a test of the email and text capability of the Emergency Alert Service will take place.  This will be the inaugural test to ensure our readiness to communicate to all staff and students in the event of a crisis. The test will be sent to all staff and students via email and also text, where the University has been provided with a mobile phone number.

Test messages will be clearly labelled as ‘TEST ONLY’.   Staff with University-supplied mobile phones will be asked to respond to the test message.  Staff and students with personal mobile phones will be advised that no action is required.
