Health and safety topics in development

Health and safety topic protocols

Health and safety topic protocols underpin the new University Health and Safety Policy. A protocol is a set of documents which comprise a standard, procedures (where required) and guidance.

Standards are specific to a particular technology or topic area. Standards are mandatory and applicable across the University.

Procedures, where appropriate, will mandate how a task or activity is performed or managed to comply with the requirements of the standard.

Guidance can include multiple documents or tools such as; user manuals, forms, templates, frequently asked questions, checklists, guidelines, etc.
