Students from throughout the Asia Pacific region are to gather in New Zealand for the biennial Eco-Minds forum, a major environmental youth programme run in partnership between Bayer and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

The announcement was made on the eve of World Environment Day on June 4 following the signing of a hosting agreement between Bayer New Zealand and The University of Auckland.

As with previous Eco-Minds forums, the event will involve students from countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and New Zealand.

The theme of the forum will be Sustainable Energy Systems: Challenges and Opportunities.
