Budding photographers at The University of Auckland are invited to take part in the 2013 ACTS Sustainability Photography Competition.

The competition, now in its second year, is organised by the Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS), an organisation that promotes and supports change towards best practice sustainability within the Australasian tertiary sector. It is a competition open to students and staff of member institutions, which includes The University of Auckland.

The theme for the competition is sustainability where the photos are “to focus on the principles and practices of sustainability, including how these are exemplified by people and place, objects and spaces, landscapes and land-uses.”

Finalists’ entries will be exhibited at the 13th International ACTS Conference. The top three entries in both the staff and student categories will be announced at the conference dinner and Green Gown Awards Ceremony on 26 September. A” People’s Choice” will also be awarded on this night.

Entrants will need to register themselves on the ACTS site.

Entries are now open and the competition closes on 12 August.
