Calling all local knitters in Gisborne!

Can you or someone you know please lend a hand (or two)?

Looking for a volunteer role you can do from home? As part of the Cancer Society Gisborne East Coast’s supportive care service, clients are provided with knitted bed socks to help keep them keep warm over the chilly winter months.

This is only possible with the help of our wonderful local knitting community - can you or someone you know please lend a hand (or two)? The Society is after a variety of adult-sized pairs - our most popular sizes to date are large men's and women's.

Colour and style are entirely up to you! The Society staff are so excited to see your lovely creations! Keen to help but in need of a pattern? No worries! Just email Azure (azure.hyde@cancercd.org.nz) and she will send you one.

If you would like to help, please contact the Society today on info@gisbornevolunteercentre.org.nz or register on their volunteer portal.
