Description
A collaboration between researchers from the USA, Denmark, and New Zealand, this research will explore:
- The intergenerational correlation in the use of 3 or more welfare services (welfare benefits, hospital treatments, criminal justice services), and how cognitive abilities and mental health mediates this correlation;
- The risk among individuals using these services to a high degree, of experiencing other adverse outcomes such as premature death, family disruption, and housing instability;
- Whether welfare state reforms affect inequality in service use.
