Distance learning for students affected by coronavirus travel restrictions
The University is closely monitoring the impact on students who are unable to commence study in New Zealand as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. This includes students who are unable to travel to New Zealand, are in quarantine, or need to self-isolate in response to Ministry of Health guidelines.
Special arrangements are being made to support students to study by distance for part, or all of, Semester One, through supported online learning. This may include changes to the assessment tasks required for a course. Where there is a change to the mode of delivery, or a change to an assessment task within a course, the learning outcomes of the course will remain the same.
Advice on alternative arrangements for assessments, class participation, quizzes and tests will be provided when Semester One commences on Monday 2 March 2020.
