How do I contact you?

How do I book an appointment?

For career advice or interview practice, make an appointment through MyCDES (instructions on how are at the bottom of our ‘Make an appointment’ web page). We will send you the Zoom link for the appointment. If you don’t use Zoom, let us know and we can sort something out.

How do I get my CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile checked?

You can upload your Word documents using this form. We will get back to you with suggestions as soon as possible. 

How do I attend a workshop or event?

Our workshops are now online. Visit the ‘Attend a careers workshop’ page for the workshop schedule and instructions on how to join in. 

We are currently working on other online events for you. We will add the details to the above page and BizStudent Update when these are arranged. 

Where can I find career information?

This is a good time to make the most of our online resources. We have a wide range on our website for you to access 24/7. 

Here are a few things to get you started:

  • Wondering what job you can get with your major? Have a look at the 'Explore majors and careers' page
  • Want to improve your CV, interview skills or psychometric testing? Then start with the sections in ‘How to apply for a job?’
  • Looking for a job? Check out BizStudent Update, emailed to you on Thursday

I’ve applied for a job, what happens now?

We are working with employers and other organisations to gain insight into the situation and the impact as things develop. We will pass this on to you, so make sure you check BizStudent Update. 

It is still early days and many organisations will be carrying out contingency planning. Be assured that the employers will be in contact with you as soon as things become clearer.

If the employer is concerned about your studies, the University is putting out regular updates on the University's COVID-19 page. If they have a specific question, they can contact bizcareers@auckland.ac.nz
