Diversity and Inclusion Week 2020
This inaugural event will take place between Monday 5 - Friday 9 October 2020.
Our aim is to support students from a variety of backgrounds, offer development opportunities for diverse groups, and to identify ways to improve diversity and inclusion at the Business School. Please join us for the week’s wide range of events and activities.

Monday 5 October
Intro to Diversity and Inclusion Workshop (Online)
Presenter: Guillermo Merelo, Diversity Works NZ
Time: 1-2pm

This 1-hour workshop will touch on key aspects of diversity management including cultural intelligence, unconscious bias and inclusive leadership. This session is suited for students and staff interested in learning more about integrating inclusive practices at University and in the workplace.
Attending this session will count as a professional development workshop for the University of Auckland Co-Curricular Recognition Programme. The attendees of this workshop are encouraged to attend the forum on Friday 9 October to share ideas of how to improve D&I at the Business School.

From semester-long exchange, to short-term programmes, internships and virtual programmes, we’ve got you covered. In this session, we will go over the various 360 International opportunities on offer, funding available to support you and tips on how to plan for a global experience during your time at the University of Auckland.

Nervous about transitioning into the NZ work force? Join us for this panel event to hear stories from international alumni who have chosen to work in NZ after studying at the Business School. This is an opportunity for international students to connect with alumni, and to learn how they leveraged their strengths for a career in NZ.
