A research hub that fosters historical and theoretical research in the fields of architecture, urban planning, urban design and heritage conservation.

Overview

The Architecture and Planning History and Theory Research Hub (HT Hub) fosters historical and theoretical research in the fields of architecture, urban planning, urban design and heritage conservation. It aims to build local, national and international presence through innovative collaborations and partnerships. This includes cross- or trans-disciplinary research and collaboration between academics, doctoral students and industry. Research interests are international in their scope. The HT Hub also offers particular expertise in the fields of New Zealand, Māori and Pacific architecture, planning, urbanism and heritage. We welcome doctoral expressions of interest in history and theory topics.
