Meet the Student Centre Team
The Creative Arts and Industries Student Centre staff are here to provide study-related advice and assistance to all future and current students.
Chris is the Student Academic Services Engagement Manager with the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries. Prior to joining the faculty, Chris was Accommodation Solutions Manager at the University.
Tom is the Student Academic Services Team Leader and coordinates the Student Academic Advisors, Student Advisors, and some Academic Services Co-ordinators. He advises on University and faculty processes related to these roles, specialising in postgraduate studies, applications, admissions and architecture. Tom has a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and Master of Architecture (Professional) with Honours from the University of Auckland.
Sock-Cheng is an Academic Services Co-ordinator, and can advise on University processes for current students in the Fine Arts programme. Sock-Cheng is the escalation point for the faculty as follows: published student course timetable and online web room bookings for staff.
Tera, as the Student Support and Experience Adviser, connects students with wellbeing, pastoral care and learning support. Tera coordinates faculty orientation, graduation and other engagement events. She also provides support for the International Mentor Programme and faculty student associations.
Daniel is an Academic Services Co-ordinator fielding queries on University processes for students in the Urban Planning and Urban Design progreammes, as well as faculty-wide queries relating to scholarships and doctoral matters.
Theresa is a Student Academic Adviser and manages the applications, enrolments and student enquires for Architecture. Theresa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from China and has previously worked for a number of service divisions at the University of Auckland, including Academic Services and International Office.
Sukanya is a Student Academic Adviser and manages the applications, enrolments and student enquiries for the School of Music, Urban Planning and Urban Design. Sukanya graduated with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science conjoint in 2015 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Psychology) in 2016, both from the University of Auckland.
Sam is a Student Adviser and is the first point of contact for any inquires regarding applications, admissions and enrolment for the Creative Arts and Industries programmes. Sam is currently in first year of the Master of Architecture (Professional).
Young ki Kim
Young is a Student Adviser and assists with student inquiries and administrative duties. Young is in his first year of the Master of Architecture (Professional).
Catherine collaborates with secondary schools and colleges to provide guidance to students approaching tertiary study at the University. She also works on professional development for teachers through initiatives, workshops and engagement events.
Alex is an Academic Services Co-ordinator, and can advise on University processes for students in the Music and Dance Studies Programmes, as well as faculty-wide queries relating to scholarships. Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University in 2013.
Marlita is an Academic Analyst providing analysis to support management decision making. Marlita has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Auckland and Postgraduate Diploma in Business from Massey University.
Lauren is a Student Academic Adviser and manages the applications, enrolments and student enquiries for Dance and Fine Arts students. Lauren has graduated with a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from the University of Canterbury, and now is in her second year of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies. She has grown up with both parents being Fine Artists so she has a background and enjoyment of the arts.
Millie is a Student Adviser, and assists with student inquiries and administrative duties. Millie is studying towards a Bachelor of Urban Planning (Honours) at the University of Auckland.
