The Epsom campus of the University of Auckland includes a range of recreational and sporting facilities including a fitness centre in G Block.
The Fitness Centre has a good range of fitness equipment including running machines, exercise bikes, weights and other fitness machines.
The centre is available to Faculty of Education and Social Work students through applying for an access card. It is open from 6.30am until 8pm Monday to Friday.
Entry to the Fitness Centre requires use of the access card (or swipe card) issued to the applicant after processing of the application.
For all new students, you will be able to use your ID card to enter the Fitness Centre, after processing of the application.
Please submit the application form below to reception in A Block.
The processing of the application and subsequent issue of the access card will normally take about 2-3 working days.
Please note however that applications at the beginning of semester 1, may take up to three weeks as there is a high number of applications for all types of access cards at this time.
The Fitness Centre is in G104. Changing rooms and showers are in the following rooms:
- Male (G108)
- Female (G107)
To enter the Fitness Centre (G104) hold your access card in front of the card reader situated on the right of the door until the light turns green then pull the door open.
There are six tennis courts on Epsom Campus and are free for anyone to use. Rackets are available for hire from Reception in A Block, and tennis balls can be bought for $3.
