Mid-year intake available for teaching students in 2021

The Bachelor of Education (Teaching) Primary specialisations now has a Semester Two intake at Epsom Campus. Students can choose between the Semester One (March) or Semester Two (July) intake.

This internationally recognised programme will equip students with the tools they need to teach in 21st century classrooms and education centres, with an emphasis on building strong relationships, teaching diverse learners, and digital learning.

Students are taught by academics who are experts in their fields of Education and passionate about supporting the next generation of teachers. Courses are taught through a range of methods including face-to-face lectures, tutorials and workshops, as well as online learning.

Extensive practical placements in classrooms allow students to become a part of a community, establish connections to help them build their careers, and gain vital skills to prepare for the transition into teaching.

Please note:

Applications for this intake are open for international students currently living in either New Zealand or offshore. However, due to the current uncertainty around the New Zealand border restrictions, only students who are onshore will be invited to interview for this programme. Decisions regarding interviews for offshore students will be made at a later date subject to New Zealand Government advice.

If borders remain closed by mid-year 2021, offshore Bachelor of Education (Teaching) applicants can instead apply for our Bachelor of Education (TESOL) programme and commence this online. Upon completion of the Bachelor of Education (TESOL) (three years) students can then apply for the Graduate Diploma in Teaching in either Early Childhood Education, Primary or Secondary Teaching to become registered to teach in New Zealand.
