“I am the Director of Mission and Special Character at Listen College where I work with the older students in a leadership role going out into the community serving those who are less fortunate. My colleagues inspired me to study the Master of Education, I knew by doing this it would better me as a person and as a professional.

“One of my favorite parts of the programme was getting back into the classroom after years away from study. It was great working with other educational professionals of a similar age and experience who also held leadership positions in their schools. Having discussions around topics that had different approaches and systems to deal with education change was really interesting and valuable.

“I had really great lecturers and professors supporting me throughout my studies, they were like aunties to me in terms of always having time for any questions or queries, the door was always open. They allocated time, energy, a listening ear and a compassionate push in the right direction. This made my learning journey really comfortable, whenever I had a mountain in front of me, it didn’t seem too high that I couldn’t get over it.

“I would recommend to anyone considering post-graduate study to go for it and take that next step. You will be surrounded by like-minded people who want to better themselves personally and professionally.”
