“My passion for empowering young people led me to a career in teaching. I love being a part of students’ educational journeys, providing opportunities for them to think critically, develop creativity and be the best versions of themselves.

“Completing the Bachelor of Education (Teaching) in 2015 gave me a great start to my teaching career, so when I decided to start postgraduate study, the University of Auckland was the obvious choice.

“I’m passionate about teaching maths and science, so when I heard about the Woolf Fisher Postgraduate Trust Scholarship, I was really excited. Winning the scholarship allowed me to enrol in the Postgraduate Certificate in Education fully funded.

It’s been lovely to interact with aspiring teachers and teachers from other schools, while finding new ways to enhance my practice.
