Inaugural Lecture: Professor Jeff Harrison
Date: 11 August 2022
Title: Sometimes the best plan is not having a plan
In his inaugural lecture, Professor Harrison shared a career shaped by the absolute lack of a plan, a child-like fascination with the question ‘why?’, and the good fortune to be surrounded by people more sensible and capable than himself. From a degree he started by mistake to being Head of School, his career to date has been characterised by variety. He reflects on the teaching, service, and the clinical trials, pharmacoepidemiology, health service and quality improvement work that he's been involved in along the way - all designed to improve medicines-related outcomes.
